Happy Birthday To My Sweetie!!!
Anyone who knows us, or has ever met us, or has read my blog knows how I feel about my Sweetie, Scott. So I won't be redundant by writing yet another loving testimonial to my husband on the occasion of his birthday. However, should your memory need to be refreshed, I highly recommend you check out these posts from the past:Sorry, Ladies, He's Taken
Fourteen Long Years...But Not Long Enough!
Synchronicity
Suffice it to say that I love my husband more than mere words can say and I want to express that sentiment to all the world on this particular day, his birthday.
Rather than reflecting (or lamenting) on how many years of one's life have passed, I believe that birthdays are for celebrating the person this day brought us.
So today I celebrate my life mate, my best friend and the person whom I admire most...coincidentally, they were all born on June 21!
Hey, You, I Love You!!!
If you'll indulge me in a little musical interlude, I believe this sums up my feelings on this special day and always...

My Other Mother
You may know by now that I am rather fond of my Sweetie, Scott...
What you may not know is that I got a very nice bonus when I opened my Box of Scott...
I got another mother in the bargain!

Happy Birthday, Grandma Bessie!
Today was my Grandma Bessie's birthday. I always hold a special thought for her on March 7th.She was an exceptional lady who was very influential in my life.
If I sent her a birthday card, it would say:
Grandma, you taught me about love by loving me unconditionally. Thank you for always being there for me.Although you're gone, you live on in the woman I am today. I can only aspire to mean as much to someone in my life as you mean to me.
I wish the people who are special now in my life could have met you, and you them.
I miss you.
I Love You!

She Was Just Grand(ma)
Yesterday my NaBloPoMo offering discussed my relationship with my family. Before I wander too far from the subject of family, I want to include my favorite lady in the whole world in my list of things for which I am thankful. Here on day 27 of National Blog Posting Month, I'd be privileged to introduce you to my Grandma Bessie.

Daddy's Little Girl
I'm writing about things for which I am thankful throughout November, also known as National Blog Posting Month. Today on day nineteen of NaBloPoMo, I am in a reflective mood. Looking through family photos earlier today brought back a flood of evocative memories. Many of the photos reminded me of my dad, who passed away ten years ago.
The photos have brought to the forefront of my mind that I am thankful for my dad.

Snuggle Bears
With the first week of NaBloPoMo snuggly tucked under my belt, I continue my month-long series of daily posts about things for which I am thankful.
Day eight...it's gonna be great!
As I mentioned in yesterday's installment, I despise hot weather. When the weather turns cooler, I finally feel like myself. Bonus...there is a certain amount of snuggling necessary to get warm and cozy! That's where Scott enters the picture!

Gina's (Apropos) Quote Du Jour (Buck)
"A good marriage is one which allows for change and growth in the individuals and in the way they express their love." - Pearl Buck
We enjoyed a love-filled family Wedding this weekend. What a beautiful day it was! You can just see the happiness radiating from the Bride's and Groom's faces in the photo to the right!
It is the second marriage for both the Bride and the Groom. A theme during the ceremony was celebrating having a second chance for happiness...This touched me deeply, as I am living my second chance at happiness. This time I have found the man I am meant to be with...He loves and respects me, builds me up, encourages and fortifies me as I grow and evolve into a better, more fulfilled person. I think I do that for him as well by loving him unconditionally and being a steadfast friend and supportive partner to him every day.
My sincerest wish for the Newlyweds is that they find their version of "Scott and Gina"...that they constantly find joy knowing and being with each other and that they continuously make each other stronger and happier.
Here we are that day, sharing in the love!
May their lives be filled with the love that surrounded them on their Wedding Day.
