Can you believe I've been posting throughout the month of November about
things for which I am thankful, and I haven't mentioned my
Sweetie yet? Well, today's the day, and it only took until twenty days into National Blog Posting Month to do it!
There is actually a good reason for this omission...I was purposely
trying to avoid writing that
I am thankful for
Scott.
Anyone who knows me or has read my blog at all knows how I feel about my Scott.
He is my best friend and the light of my life. So when I was choosing my
things for which I am thankful to write about during
NaBloPoMo, I tried to think "outside the Scott." I didn't want to be predictable or redundant...I wanted my topics to be fresh.

But I simply can't go the
whole month without writing
something about my Sweetie! So, I picked something specific, and I will explore that one thing today:
I am thankful for how
we are in synch...how we think exactly the same thing at exactly the same time! It happens so often, in fact, that I often remark that only one of us is necessary in any situation!
Oftentimes, it's that we start telling the same story at the same time, or think about adding the same detail to a story at the same point. Other times it's that we tell the same corny joke in response to something we hear. For example, we'll hear an expression such as, "dusty corners," and we will say simultaneously, "I think I went to school with her!"
...I told you it was corny! Then there's our Beavis and Butthead routine where we will hear a word that any twelve year old boy would find "suggestive," such as "unit" or "chest" and we will make the obligatory, "
Heh" sound...
If we are alone, we say these things out loud, but if we are in public, we'll just share a knowing grin...
God help us! In writing we sound absolutely insane! Maybe it comes from being together so long, or maybe crazy attracts crazy...
Maybe we're just crazy in love...
It's how I feel about the MoH. He just "gets" me. And I'm appreciative of that. Plus, he does laundry, so what's not to like? I finish his thoughts because he takes too long to find his words. He finishes my math (when it comes up...)because his brain just works that way. And we really like each other. Period. It's the best part. Our 20th anniversary is next month...*sigh*
It is funny that you say that your minds think alike. Bob and I are almost always on the same pagae as well. I can start a sentence and he could finish it as well. Strange the way that works sometimes.
