Can you believe today is the half-way point of
NaBloPoMo? Time sure has flown as I've been writing every day of November about
things for which I am thankful. Here on the fifteenth, I am going to write about another little thing that makes a big difference in the quality of my life...
I love our bed...
so comfortable! Thirteen inches of Simmons Beautyrest, with a super fluffy pillowtop. On the day we put on
fresh sheets, it is absolute heaven! When the sheets are fresh from the laundry, they feel especially soft and they smell of
vanilla and lavender fabric softener!

Snuggling down into that coziness is like crawling into a cave full of sweet-smelling clouds! Add a
Sweetie and a cat or four, and you have the perfect family nest!
Cooper loves "helping" us change the sheets. He dives under as we stretch the fitted sheet over the mattress. He doesn't mind at all being "trapped" under the top sheet as we try to spread it evenly over the bed. He seems to think it's a game. We've even tried to sneak up to the bedroom while he's sleeping so we can get the job done without having to endure so much "fun," but somehow he always discovers what we're up to. Kitty intuition, I guess!
From the time I was a child, I remember enjoying fresh sheets on my bed. Back then it was Saturday when the family caught up on the household chores, including washing and changing sheets. I would crawl into that crisp, clean bed fresh from my Saturday night bath.
Sometimes I wish every day could be fresh sheets day - like at a hotel. If that were the (pillow) case, though, fresh sheets day would cease to be something to anticipate and appreciate. Fresh sheets day would become just an ordinary day. What a sad thing that would be!
I am almost guaranteed a delightful night's sleep on fresh sheets day. It's certain I won't want to crawl out from under the covers in the morning!
Love those fresh sheets to but I have to tell you that I was told to google myself and guess what the first thing was - Bitchin' Broads. I could click on it and the whole article was there. What a kick!
