Kitchen Aid

I fought Bob big time about getting a kitchen aid but, now, I do not know what I would do without mine. I probably wouldn't bake or I would make Bob help me more. Since my shoulder surgeries the ktichen aid is the only way I will bake. You, from my memory, have made some wonderful desserts. I stick to the all time favorites and do not budge much from there - banana cake, sour cream pound cake, carrot cake, mondel bread, zuchini bread, ice box cookies, chocolate chip cookies, white chocolate brownies, cheesecake and apple crisp. That is about my repteoire but no one seems to mind. I like baking a whole lot more than cooking. I, too, try not to bake too much being conscious of what we eat. Beleive it or not, my kitchen aid is also gun metal gray (it is the industrial "strength" one. I have had it for years and we buy the attachments as we need them as well - a juicer and a grinder is what we have so far. I am sure we will get others as time goes on.

I love to bake! I used to bake a lot more than I do now. I think it's due to a combination of having less time and being more conscientious about keeping desserts to a minimum. I still make the occasional homemade loaf of bread or pizza dough, but the days of the constant cakes and cookies are (sadly) gone. I've earned a reputation as the baker of the family, so I am often requested to bring desserts to family get-togethers. I am more likely to bake as the holidays approach, too. Last year I treated my clients to freshly baked cinnamon rolls, scones and almond bread with coffee around the holidays to enjoy on their morning commute. It is possible that I may get that ambitious again this year...

Yesterday I baked bread... Due to a "Kitchenaid malfunction" the process started out on a messy note, but the end result was sheer carbohydrate heaven! I really think the expression should be "The best thing since unsliced bread!&qu
