I'm having fun participating in NaBloPoMo, where each day of November I will write about things for which I am thankful. Today, on day six, I am thinking that although some of the things I write about are big and some are small, in concert, they comprise a well-rounded compilation of what brings joy to my life.
I've been cooking today (what else is new?...). While standing over a pot which contained what would soon be transformed into chicken rice soup, my topic literally hit me in the face...specifically, in my nose - Garlic.

For The (C)love Of Garlic

'Tis true. Couldn't cook or live without garlic, though my mother did because my father didn't like it. However, whenever he went away on business, out came the can of garlic poweder or garlic salt, and the house smelled good. I doubt my kids even know that what makes their favorite dishes so good is the garlic I put in.

Sixteen days of NaBloPoMo so far...I am really developing a taste for writing about things for which I am thankful each day throughout the month of November. You may notice that this entry is titled almost identically to a post I wrote on November 11th
